Guidelines for Guest Bloggers

Thanks for Contributing to Our Blog!

At, we keep our content fresh and accurate thanks to direct input from the experts. As part of this effort, we ask you — our agency partners — to contribute guests posts to our blog. These guest posts give you the chance to spread your reach and inform the public.

If you’re interested in writing for the blog, please pitch us your topic at least a month in advance. We’ll consider your proposal to determine if the topic is an appropriate match for our blog, and we’ll get back to you with a potential timeline and next steps. Typically, we request that you submit the draft a week in advance so that we have time to review and send back any edits.

When writing a blog post, please keep the following style tips in mind:

  • Write your post for the average Georgian. Take the focus off of what you do as an agency and bring it to how Georgians benefit from what you have to share.
  • Our brand voice for stresses 3 attributes: informative, friendly, and concise. Keep this voice in mind when writing.
  • Try to make it less of a press release and more conversational. Use “you” instead of “citizens” or “customers,” use contractions (“don’t” instead of “do not”), etc.
  • Make the paragraphs very short, about 2-3 sentences.
  • We don’t have a maximum number of words, but it’s best to stay short and to the point. As a rough guide, our posts are typically between 400 and 800 words.
  • If you want to include an image, keep in mind that we format the thumbnail images at 200 pixels wide on the post page and 90 pixels wide on the homepage, so avoid images with a lot of detail. If you don’t have an image, we’ll find a stock photo to represent the topic.
  • If you have multiple images that add significance to the piece, we have a few options to include larger images in the text of the blog. We’ll discuss these options in more detail if the situation arises.
  • Please include a headshot and a short (2 sentence) bio of whoever is officially authoring the blog.
