Get to Know Will

What is one of your proudest accomplishments?
Launching a redesigned Georgia.gov with more of a service mindset β€” focused on the most-accessed state services and user needs β€” on schedule despite the pandemic

What does your mother think you do?
Hang out with the Governor.

What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on?
Creating new resource pages and information on Georgia.gov about COVID-19 at the start of the pandemic. We were reacting to daily updates affecting state services, and thousands of Georgians were relying on our websites for the most accurate and relevant information. The planning and critical urgency reminded me of my days as an editor at β€œThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution.”

What part of your job do you like the most?
Learning from my co-workers about technology and the civic tech space. The level of talent and passion for service that my colleagues show every day inspires me and makes me proud to be among them.

If you had 25 hours in a day how would you use your extra time?
Yoga or meditation. I need to do that now.
