GOVTalks: Fall 2026

We welcomed state agency partners to GOVTalks Fall 2026 on October 1, 2026, highlighting new tools, services, and resources designed to help agencies improve their websites and better serve Georgians.

GovHub Grows Up

Director of GovHub Jasmyne Epps shared a vision for the state’s digital publishing platform's next chapter as an ecosystem that helps agencies improve digital services to create better digital experiences for Georgians. She also introduced Piedmont, the next major GovHub release, which will feature a new content management dashboard and improved workflows.

Two New Opportunities

UX Analyst Julie Fay introduced two new opportunities to help agencies improve customer experiences and make government services easier to use:

  • The first is a new training course focused on user research and usability testing, giving content managers practical tools to understand user behavior, identify problems, and make informed improvements to their digital services.
  • The second is a service delivery assessment that will look beyond websites to evaluate how agencies serve customers over the phone and in person.

Digital Accessibility: 2027 and Beyond

Web Accessibility Coordinator Hadi Rezaei discussed how agencies can prepare for the April 2027 federal digital accessibility compliance deadline while building a long-term commitment to accessibility. He emphasized that accessibility goes beyond websites and technology, requiring coordination across departments such as procurement, human resources, and agency leadership. To support this effort, GTA is developing an Accessibility Champions program that will connect employees across state agencies to share knowledge, identify challenges, and promote accessible practices in everyday operations.

Georgia.gov: Managing the State's Front Door

Director of Content Will Alford shared how the state's official website serves as a central resource for helping Georgians find government information and services. Along with the 1-800-GEORGIA call center, chatbot, and the Governor's Office of Constituent Services, the state portal helps to connect people with the information and assistance they need.
