  • Georgia Web Design System Earns National Award

    October 2024 -- Orchard, Georgia’s official design system for state agency websites, received top honors in the 2024 National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) State IT Recognition Awards. Orchard was a winner in the Information Communications Technology Innovations category.

  • Georgia Earns Another 'A' Grade in 2024 Digital States Survey

    September 2024 -- Digital equity and inclusion were two of the main operating principles for top states in this year’s Digital States Survey from the Center for Digital Government. Nine states received the highest "A" grade, including Georgia.

  • 30 State and Local IT Influencers Worth a Follow

    September 2023 -- Nikhil Deshpande, Georgia's chief digital officer, spearheads digital transformation, harnessing technology to modernize public services and foster innovation for the state's citizens and businesses.

  • Georgia Maintains 'A' Grade in 2022 Digital States Survey

    September 2022 -- The Center for Digital Government (CDG) announced the results of its 2022 Digital States Survey, a biennial evaluation of the information technology (IT) practices of all 50 states, with Georgia maintaining the highest 'A' grade.

  • Drupal Association Announces Newly Appointed Board Members

    November 2021 -- Nikhil Deshpande joins three other new board members with the goal of helping advance Drupal's mission to unite a global open source community to build, secure, and promote. 

  • GovHub wins State IT Innovation of the Year

    September 2020 -- The State IT Innovation of the Year award highlights innovative state IT approaches to cross-agency or intra-agency technology. Nominees are chosen by members of the state and local IT communities before being narrowed down by the StateScoop committee.

  • NASCIO Honors Nikhil Desphande with Technology Innovator Award

    October 2019 -- As Chief Digital Officer of Digital Services Georgia, his team’s many design and technical innovations have resulted in a robust platform with a mobile-first approach for supporting current and future online services. GovHub hosts 83 state websites.
