Standards & Branding

Digital Standards and Guidelines

The state digital standards and guidelines apply to all Georgia state agency websites and applications. Input and updates to this governance is sought through the Digital Center of Excellence from the public and private sector, and results in digital standards that all state organizations must follow. Guidelines are also published to provide recommendations and best practices.

  • Content Guidelines

    Guidelines for content help to improve readability and findability on the web. This can include using plain language, being friendly, and writing and organizing in a way that makes information easy to find.

  • Technical Standards

    Technical standards are meant to include ways that web technologies are used to display and relate information, such as how to make the content accessible and usable, and best practices for code and markup to align with the abilities of various browsing devices.

  • Digital Center of Excellence

    Help keep the state standards updated and relevant by joining the DCoE.
